Prakash Raj has joined his favourite director Hari’s new film Venghai, which has Dhanush and Tamannah in the lead. Prakash and Hari have great understanding and the director has given him impressive villain roles in Singam, Ayya.,

Prakash who is the busiest actor in south India is actually replacing Kalabhavan Mani, who has fallen out with the director. Prakash is any day a more saleable actor, and Venghai becomes commercially more viable project with his inclusion in the cast.

Nayanthara Nice Part To Comment On Asin Role

Nayanthara who recently was awarded the best actress for her performance in Malayalam flick Bodyguard was inquired by media persons on her not being the first choice for the Tamil remake of the movie Kaavalan and her views on Asin doing the role. The actress replied by saying that without watching the movie she can not draw conclusions on Asin’s act in the flick.

Nayan also mentioned that she isn’t sure if director Siddique has made any other changes to the script to make it suitable for Vijay and it won’t be nice on her part to comment on Asin’s role so early. But the beauty didn’t hesitate to talk about Kareena Kapoor. She told us that Kareena liked the flick very much and decided to star in the Hindi version of it.

Rupees 4.5 crores spend by Vijay for his New Movie Kaavalan Release

Just after the bad news of Kavalan being halted hit headlines there is now news that Vijay has decided to take things in his hands. We heard that the actor has expressed his interest to pay up to 4.5 crores from his very own pocket to the labs that rolled out prints of the movie. All settlements to be done with producer Sakthi Chidambaram will be the hot topic for talks to follow.

Veteran Actor Jeeva four film release in 2011

Ko will be the first release that will hit screens by second week of February. The film features Jeeva in the lead role of a photo-journalist who earns the wrath of politicians for exposing their true colors. The film is directed by cinematographer turned filmmaker K.V. Anand, whose previous films Kana Kandein and Ayan were blockbusters. Recently the film was screened for a group of celebrities and they gestured with a standing ovation after the show.

Jeeva’s other film Singam Puli directed by Sai Ramani is scheduled to hit screens in March. The film has the actor playing dual roles of a lawyer and fisherman. Divya Spandana and Honey Rose are playing female lead roles while Santhanam takes care of comedy portions.

Producer R.B. Choudary is planning to release Roudram by last week of April while Vandhan Vendran directed by Kannan, an associate of Manirathnam will get released by September. The film is produced by K. Srinivasan of Vasan Visual Ventures and is reported to be a crime-thriller set in backdrops of Mumbai.

Simbhu and Anushka's Vaanam Movie release on February 14, 2011

Vaanam is expected to grace the screens during the second week of February. This is the decision made by the film makers, so as to attract the youngsters during the Valentines Day week. The film is the remake of Telugu hit ‘Vedam’. Director Krish made crisp changes in the script to make the film look fresh for the Kollywood audience.

Simbu shares the screen with Bharath, Prakash Raj, Anushka, Sneha Ullal, Vega and Sonia Agarwal for this new genre film. Choreographer Kandhas Wedding very Soon

One of the top choreographers of Tamil cinema ‘Kadhal’ Kandhas has entered holy matrimony with his family friend Ponlakshmi recently. He will throw a grand reception in Chennai later today, in which prominent personalities of Kollywood will greet the couple.

“I was born and brought up in Tuticorin. I had only one ambition in life which was to make it big as a dance master. With support from my mom and friends, I landed in Chennai. Of course I struggled a bit initially but have managed to make it,” he says.

About his success secret, Kandhas says, “I strongly believe that hard work, perseverance and a little luck are what are needed to excel in any field. Fortunately, for me God has been kind.” Thanking directors Balaji Sakthivel, Vasanthabalan and Moorthy, he says, “I still have a long way to go. I have realised that variety is the watchword in the entertainment industry and I try to update my choreographic skills every day.”

Shruti Haasan Expected Nanbaenda Movie

When approached, Shruti Haasan’s representative, speaking on behalf of the actress, refuses to accept the fact that she is already a part of the upcoming Kollywood venture. Rather, the representative says that director of ‘Nanbaenda’ Rajesh is still in talks with Shruti Haasan briefing her on the character she will have to portray in his upcoming project, however, the actress has not signed on the dotted line yet.

It is to be recalled here that the title ‘Nanbaenda’ has been taken from Rajesh’s superhit commercial potboiler ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’. It was a phrase made famous in the earlier release and this time Rajesh has penned a script for ‘Nanbaenda’ which will reportedly give equal screen space to the hero and the heroine of his upcoming project. Therefore, it is expected that Shruti haasan has been offered quite a meaty role in ‘Nanbaenda’. After the box office dud Luck, Shruti Haasan will next be seen in the Madhur Bhandarkar film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji for Bollywood.

Manmadhan Ambu Audio Launch Vijay TV Telecast On December 5

Vijay TV is all set to telecast Manmadhan Ambu audio launch held on November 20 in Singapore. This grand function was a an extravagant three day affair as the entire cast began their journey from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on board the luxury cruise liner Superstar Virgo and headed to Singapore. The exclusive event of the Manmadhan Ambu audio launch will be telecast on Vijay TV on Sunday, December 5 at 11am.  It was an extravagant audio launch at Max Pavilion, Signapore to an audience of over 7000.

The event commenced by the performances of Vijay TV’s very own Super Singer Juniors and Jodi No.1 contestants along with the popular playback singers Mano & Chitra. The event featured performances by the music director of the movie Devi Sri Prasad along with singers Suchitra, Sagar and Andrea.

And for the first time ever in an audio launch of the movie, the stars came forward to give extraordinary performances that thrilled the audiences. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan sang his favorite number from the movie “Neelavanam”. This was Kamal Haasan’s first performance in Singapore after a gap of more than 20 years. Apart from this phenomenal performance, Trisha joined Kamal Haasan on stage to perform an act from the movie; which was a song in poetry form which was penned by the man himself. Director K.S. Ravikumar, Madhavan, Sangeetha, the producer, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Gauthami and Ramesh Aravind were also part of the grand audio launch function in  Singapore.

At moment, the hottest commercial director in Kollywood is Rajesh. His Siva Manasulla Sakthi (SMS) and Boss Engira Baskaran (BEB) were not only successful, but gave a new lease of life to its heroes Jeeva and Arya. So it was not surprising when Udhayanidhi Stalin after hearing the script of his Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (a title taken from SMS song), decided to launch himself as hero under Rajesh’s direction.

Udhayanidhi and Rajesh have renamed the film as Nanbenada (after punchline expression in BEB). In Nanbenada, heroine has an important role and as much footage as the hero. The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Rajesh and Udhayanidhi have roped in Shruthi Haasan to play this important role. The actress is already playing heroine in Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant produced 7am Arivu opposite Surya. However, when contacted Shruthi was not avalable for comment. Sruthi’s manager has confirmed that she is in negotiation with Red Giants, and will confirm the news only after she signs on the dotted line.

Later Madhrasapattinam Vijay gave her a big break in his under production Deiva Magan, a Kollywood adaptation of the critically acclaimed Hollywood I’m Sam where she plays Vikram’s wife.

Now Amlaa is peaking as Lingusamy has taken her as his heroine opposite Arya in forthcoming Vettai, which also has Madhavan and Sameera Reddy in pivotal roles. Amla entering as replacement for Anushka in Lingusamy camp is another feather on her cap.

It is official that Sun Pictures has confirmed that their Dhanush, Tapasee, Vetrimaran directed Aadukalam will be a Pongal 2011 release. Earlier the film was announced as a December 10 release. The audio launched recently is slowly becoming a hit.

Sun Pictures have announced Aadukalam as a Pongal release in today’s Tamil newspapers. Dhanush has tweeted that his “dream film” will be a Pongal release. Last Pongal too Dhanush had Kutty releasing for the festival.

Kanimozhi Movie Has Hit The Screens Vijay Vasanth Busy

Vijay Vasanth is a happy man these days as his latest film ‘Kanimozhi’ has hit the screens. Though his was only a guest appearance in the movie, he is still very optimistic about the movie’s success. When quizzed on his role in the movie he was quick to reply that his character is very much integral to the film. He also revealed that along with Jai, he too, romanced the lead actress of the film, Shazahn Padamsee. He added that both of them vied for Shazahn’s attention.

Elaborating further on his character in the film he said that he essayed a positive role that brings forth some twists and turns in the storyline in the concluding part of the film. Vijay, who is very friendly with Jay in real life, had a great time filming for ‘Kanimozhi’. They shared very less screen space together in the film but the little did they shoot, it was all fun since they had to fight and not exchange friendly camaraderie as they do off screen. They broke down into laughter most of the time when the shots were called. Vijay is working with Jai for the second time in ‘Kanimozhi’, the first being ‘Chennai 600028’.

At present, Vijay is filming for ‘Madhil Mel Poonai’, where he is portraying the role of a lover boy and it is also his first brush as the lead actor of a film. Viva is paired opposite him in this movie. Also in the pipeline is ‘Theriyama Unnai Kadhalichitten’ where he plays the solo lead.

Vandhaan Vendraan Movie Romantic Sequence

Though Kannan has said in a statement to the media that he and his team will be back to Chennai by the first week of December, this is not the end of his filming stint in the beautiful South Indian state.

The cast of ‘Vandhaan Vendraan’ will be back to Kerala on the 1st of January to complete the final leg of the Kerala shoot. In fact, the dates have been adjusted by Kannan keeping in mind the schedule of his lead actor Jeeva. According to the media reports, Jeeva will be very busy in the month of December shooting for the South Indian version of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots.

While Kannan is presently shooting in Kerala, he is also searching for an appropriate face to suit a negative character in the upcoming film. Kannan says that while the lead actors have been finalized, a character which goes against the one played by Jeeva in ‘Vandhaan Vendraan’ is still in the reckoning. Kannan will not need him in the Kerala shoot but is in talks with several actors for the role. Thaman is scoring the music and Na. Muthukumar, Kabilan, Yugabharathy and Vairamuthu’s son Gorky are penning the lyrics. P.G. Muthaiah is handling cinematography and V.T. Vijayan is the editor and the movie is directed by Kannan.

Hansika Motwani And Genelia Vie For Honours In Velayudham Movie

The Goan-born Genelia De’Souza & Bollywood’s Hansika Motwani are the two heroines vying for attention in Vijay’s upcoming film titled ‘Velayudham’ which is being produced by Aascar Ravichandran, whose last film was the mega budget ‘Dasavatharam’ more than a couple of years ago.

Unit sources reveal that the film could be the most significant one for Vijay as on date.  The actor, who has had a string of flops in the past 2-3 years, is badly in need of a hit to sustain his status as a bankable star in the industry.  Vijay is banking heavily on director ‘Jeyam’ Raja to deliver a hit, the same way Raja has done with his younger sibling ‘Jeyam’ Raja for the past few years.

Raja is quite aware of the dangers of directing two heroines simultaneously.  It is said that he has scripted the story in such a manner as to give almost equal significance to the characters of both the heroines.  This has resulted in one huge benefit, of course: both Genelia & Hansika have now become close pals, each helping the other with her sequences for the day. The cooperation rendered by the leading ladies has kept Raja & Vijay in good humour.  Raja assures confidently that the film is sure to hit the bull’s eye at the box-office and resurrect Vijay’s career in a big way! Bharath And Rima Enjoyed Working Underwater For Yuvan Yuvathi Movie

Recalling experiences that the lead pair shared while filming the project, both say that their stay at Seychelles was probably the most memorable because it was there that they had to shoot underwater, something that both stars are extremely scared of! While Bharath is not much of a swimmer, Rima is hydrophobic and yet the actors had to hit a water body! Well, the professionals that they are, they did complete their shots, albeit with one pulling the other’s legs all the while.

While Bharath is a popular actor in Kollywood, this is Rima’s first film in Tamil. But since she is fluent with the language, Rima had no problems shooting for the film and understanding its dialogues. ‘Yuvan Yuvathi’ is a love story between two individuals who work in the same IT firm. We hope that like the actors, the audience too, can walk out of theaters with a smile on their faces after watching the film.

Dhanush Secreat Gift Tapasee Pannu

Tapasee Pannu revealed that she was very afraid when she stepped into Tamil Nadu for the first time few months back for the shooting with actor Dhanush for the Aadukalam movie! “My first shooting spot was in Madurai. It was a completely new place and I was afraid to be with completely new people. But actor Dhanush stood my me and soothed me” she revealed.

She also revealed that she had a lot of problems communicating with the people there and then Dhanush gave her a book to learn the Tamil language in 30 days! “Daily I used to byheart the words and in just one month, i was able to speak and understand Tamil” she says.

Raktha Charitra Movie Postponed December 3

Suriya’s eagerly awaited Ram Gopal Varma starrer with Vivek Oberoi, Rakha Charithra in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi has been postponed from November 26 to December 3, as the film is yet to be censored. The Tamil version is being distributed by Cloud Nine.

Actually RGV and Cinergy Production the producers of the film had slated its release on November 19, but postponed it due to various factors. But Cloud Nine was very particular that the film’s Tamil version should release on November 26, so that it gets a free run for atleast two weeks.

Now that RC has been postponed to December 3, it will have to adjust with other big December releases like Arya’s Chikku Bukku on Dec 3, Dhanush’s Aadukalam on Dec 10, and Kamal Haasan’s Manmadhan Ambu on Dec 17.
