It is a bilingual film, which will be made in both Tamil and Telugu languages. In this film Tamil hero Vijay and Vikram are also playing the other lead roles. The film is based on Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan that deals with the life and times of Raja Raja Chola and Pallavas.
Earlier we also heard that the film has titled "Ponniyin Selvan" in Tamil version and the title "veerudu" was under consideration for Telugu version.
This historic project will be produced by Sun Pictures. Music will be scored by Oscar winner AR Rehman. This project will hit the floors in this year.
Mahesh Babu is presently busy with the shooting of Dhookudu film under Sreenu Vytla direction.
